Snow Mountain Parallax 2013

This brief animation was made using the beautiful artwork of Artur Zima “ARTek92” of Deviant Art in conjunction with Stock imagery resourced from “Asylum-Stock” at Deviant Art as well.

I mixed a lot of particular elements along with a pulsing blizzard mist as the camera moves in. The matte painting used was sliced into 3 sections and animated independently for parallax. No cameras were used, just scaling, position & animated blurs.

Particle Tracers

I built a series of these particle tracers with a visual design “zone out” pattern. I subtly changed the hues to see which color or color transition had more of an impact visually.

Motion Track & Composite Test

This is a test to composite video assets onto a main footage composition. In this test, I used footage that I shot at a Monster Truck show in 2010. Through “Single Point” motion tracking and rotoscoping, I was able to insert explosions & smoke both in front and behind the Monster Truck in this clip. There are 4 versions, Original Footage, Color Corrected, Explosions & Smoke and the Final Composite.

Motion Track & Composite Test

This is a small test I conducted with Boujou, Cinema 4D & After Effects. Just one of many tests to come, I will be experimenting with more realism as my skills improve.

Maya Shatter Animation #002

Took a little while to render in 720p and very short.(I need a new video card badly) Anyhow, this is a second version of Experiment #001. It was done with an extruded plane, a spherical collider, a gravity field and an Ambient Occlusion shader… 220frames total.
I forged and customized sound effects for a more impactful visual experience.
